Let me start by saying this. If you haven’t used Geogebra.org in your Geometry classroom you are really missing out on huge amounts of engagement in your classroom.

Math Students Shrinking Attention Span

The number one problem in all classrooms across the WORLD is our student’s every shrinking attention span. We as teachers, have to do a better job of adapting to the times. Things are not done anymore with paper and pencil. Math doesn’t have to be done on paper and pencil anymore. I know this is going to push a few buttons and rub some teachers the wrong way but that is okay 🙂

Using Technology to Teach Polygons in the Coordinate Plane

Our students use technology for everything. They always have it in their pocket. For us to educate our students to be successful AFTER HIGH SCHOOL we must adjust to the future. If you want your students to look forward to your class and be eager to engage in your lessons, then your lessons must involve some form of technology.

Paperless Math Class

I have COMPLETELY ELIMINATED paper and pencil from my classroom. It has been the best decision I have ever made in my 10 years of teaching. My students come to class and enjoy Geometry now. They want to be the first to figure things out. They want to help each other. They want to create, manipulate, and prove Geometry.
